“ Years ago, I worked just down the hill from this location of The Pig and stopped there often because it was on the way to work. It's now a bit out of the way, but I make a point to go by once a month or so because of the beer selection. They fit a whole lot of variety into a relatively small space. It's one of the two places in Birmingham that stocks my favorite beer, Terrapin's RecreationAle. I go for the beer selection, but pick up other groceries while I'm there. Huge bonus: You won't find self-checkout here. Instead of making customers deal with the usual frustrations of self-checkout, the front of the store is filled with cashiers and baggers who are always ready to help. The Pig is giving more people jobs which better supports the community. Service is quick and outstanding. ”
“ What can I say I've always heard about them, idk if they have these in Dallas maybe out in the rural. But yea I just had to come to one just to say I have. Overall your everyday grocery necessities are here, was here in business and just had to get some things to survive the week. Customer service was good, cashier was very friendly and they had a good variety of beers. Very decent pricing and the area seemed to be a nice one. ”

“ I guess you can say Courtney and I lost our Piggly Wiggly virginity together. We have heard nothing but outstanding things about this grocery store. While walking and getting to know homewood and what it is all about, we were also walking along the beaten path and found ourselves at Piggly Wiggly. Walking inside we we astonished by how many different things were inside. We walked up and down each of the aisles. Saw things we thought we would never find. We eventually walked down one aisle and met one of the grocery stockers. He was stocking cans of beans or something I don't recall exactly but he greeted us with a very friendly hello and later stated that if we didn't see something on the shelves that we wanted to just give a holler and he would be happy to assist. Now, this kind of customer service in a grocery store? that it insane. People here have been so pleasant and helpful it is mind blowing. We are so used to Publix where your job in to go in and go out with no questions asked. Customer service is everything here and the employees really make it their goal to make sure that every day they are helping their customers. I love this place and we will be back for sure. Everything in here looked great. From their cakes, to even their typical grocery items. Everything and I mean everything is very well stocked and organized. ”
“ I absolutely love this location! I mean they have a lot of the local items available. On my recent visit , I even saw some frozen meals from Roots & Revelry! I didn't even know this was a thing. This location is always busy but in a good way. They have a excellent wine selection! It's almost overwhelming bc there's so much to choose from. You have been warned! Lol Quality meats & produce too. The deli has some good food as well. I've had some hot meals from here & loved them. I love the staff here! They are friendly and seem to really enjoy serving the public. ”

I can almost guarantee they have all you need whether you're just making a quick stop to pick up one item or actually need groceries for the entire week. You can find just about everything on your list here and more! You'll find lots of good deals in their produce department as well. ”
“ This is more than just a grocery store. Their breakfast is southern fast food at its best. You get your choice of cheese or regular grits, eggs, bacon and a biscuit (there's other breakfast options if that's your fancy) all for $3.84 tax included. They include a fork & knife so need to worry as your running late to work. I question myself, why I've been wasting my money elsewhere for breakfast. The store has been around forever, situated in a nice section of Homewood. The employees are always very nice and cheerful, making your shopping experience feel appreciated. If you miss breakfast... they serve lunch as well. You even have the convenience of the grocery store for whatever your needs may be. Enjoy. You won't regret it!! ”
“ I usually do not review grocery stores, because well they are grocery stores, but I did want to give some love to Piggly Wiggly in Homewood. If you are a craft beer drinker, they have the BEST craft beer selection of any grocery store in town. I'm definitely not exaggerating! They have beers from all over the world as well as local breweries. Price wise they are the same as everyone else, but selection wise they are amazing. It's fun too stop in an look around at the crazy names and flavors. ”
